Kim Gary, The Curve

On my first time going to Kim Gary in The Curve...the waiter asked me "Smoking or Non-smoking", I thought "Cool, they have separate sections". But a quick glance at the restaurant showed no such partition or separate rooms. It was just like any other Kim Gary or Mong Kok Char Chan Teng (you know, to me they are the same) where it's a cramped up place with air-con. Unless there a hidden room somewhere that I didn't know of.

After being seated in the non-smoking section, I asked the waiter "Where's the smoking section?". The waiter replied "There".......Where? It's the back portion of the restaurant.....meanwhile, the non-smoking section is at the front portion of the restaurant. So, say if there are 10 rows of tables, the first 5 rows are non-smoking and the last 5 rows are for smoking. like.huh.?

I thought it was weird at first, because the whole restaurant is 1 enclosed area and there are no separation whatsoever, so what kind of a non-smoking/smoking area is it ? ....

But then, maybe Kim Gary is trying to applease their customers. At least, the non-smoking customers won't end up sitting to a smoking customer and 'enjoy' the second hand smoke while eating their french toast eh. Yeah right ! It's an enclosed area, aren't people suppose to NOT smoke in enclosed areas ? So, now that Kim Gary has 'marked' the back portion of the restaurant as a smoking area, isn't that giving the customers the encouragement to smoke in a air-con room, full with people who DON'T want to inhale their second hand smoke ! This is just duh...(I don't know, this is the only word that I can think of)

Oh, by the way....did you know that Blook opened a store in 1Utama, Old Wing? Next to Salabianca.

Theme Songs for the broken hearted

Have you ever 'sat luen' before ? Have you ever had your heart broken ? Break up with a loved one ? I have. It was a years back....It's was my first love, and the break up was painful, but it's bygones. I harbour nothing from the breakup except for the memories.

What I want to talk about here is not about my breakup. But about songs that 'speak your heart' when you are broken hearted. It's some sort of an expression for what you are going through. It sings out what you are experiencing and feeling. Have you ever have a 'theme song' when you were broken hearted? I guess when someone experiencing a breakup, they tend to be more emotional, feeling more feelings (that's emotional la).....err...I don't know what I'm taking about...whatever....

Anyway, my theme song was...Emotions by Destiny's Child. Firstly, I think it's a great song. Secondly, it came out during the period when my heart was broken. I loved the song. It sang out my heart. The lyrics just broke my heart over and over ....I'd wallow in self pity and sorrow under these words :

It's over and done

But the heartache lives on inside

and

Don't you know there's nobody left in this world to hold me tight?

Don't you know there's nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight

Goodnight, goodnight

and

I'm there at your side,

I'm part of all the things you are

But you've got a part of someone else

You've got to find your shining star

And then, there's also a defiant side where I know I'll be alright in the end :

In the words of a broken heart

It's just emotion taking me over

Caught up in sorrow

Lost in the song

I'm not the only one who had a theme song, I had a friend who listened to 'An Jing (Not Anjing ok!, dunno how to translate, my mandarin bad)' by Jay Chou when he broke up with his girlfriend. His girlfriend broke up with him to be with another guy....and this song is about a guy wishing the best to his gal, singing that he's letting go because she's happier with this new guy........oh...so sad.

Then there's another friend who yes...broke up...and locked herself in her room and listened to Sandy Lam's song (sorry, I don't know the name of the song....I told you my mandarin is bad) again and again and again. She actually put this one song on repeat and listened to it for the whole day. It's a mandarin song, and it starts like this :

'Wo pa lai pu chi' (I'm afraid I'm running out of time)

'Wo yau kau so ni' (I want to tell you)la la la la (don't remember already)

So, what's your theme song ? I'm quite sure that there's at least one for most ppl, or else it's just the three of us in this world ???? That's why there's some many sad songs out there...cause every broken hearted ppl needed it to wallow in it...
:)

Now, when I listen to Emotions, it's still a great song. I still like listening to it, but I don't feel 'it' anymore. And since I'm so free now, I've compiled a list of broken hearted theme songs. Don't complain if I left out some nice songs ok...this is just from the top of my head :

1. "Wo the sin hau luan" (My heart is very confused ? ..) - Chou Chuan (Mandarin)

(This is really power song I tell you, really heart breaking....wait when I have time, I'll translate the whole song ok)

2. "Never had a dream come true" - S7 Club something ??

3. "Without you" - Mariah Carey

4. Any Wang Chieh (Wong Kit) songs.

5. I never really love you anyway - The Corrs 6. Survivor - Destiny's Child

6. Don't remember any...will add more when it crosses my mind.

Orchid

Look at the posts that I've put up on my blog. Half of it is about shopping/purchases huh. Skin food, 3G phone, fragances....hmm...no wonder I'm so broke every month....what to do ?.....

Oh, what the heck.....shopping is fun...buying new stuff is fun....so here's my latest purchase : ))

Pretty isn't it ? Bought it in Sungai Buloh. Wow, there's soooo many choices of flowers/plants/trees in Sungai Buloh...really cheap somemore !! But I went there solely for the orchid. Had always wanted an orchid for my house.

Last weekend, was at Bangsar shopping Village, there's a booth there selling orchids. It's quite expensive although very nice. They are actually for charity, so maybe that's why a bit more expensive. The usually kind of orchids (I don't know the names ok)...they are sold at RM28. The nicer ones (like the one I bought) range from RM100 - RM300 ! ....wah.....too expensive....

So, went to Sungai Buloh....the usual ones are RM12.....while the one I bought cost RM35. Much cheaper lor....

Now, my next mission is to go to Ikea to find a lovely pot for this orchid :)
